Hiking : Campus' mountain!

We are surrounded by lots of mountains.... So why not take a look at what we have just behind us ? (it is the nearest one ^^)

We decided, well me and Sophie (another french girl) that we were going to hike there and stay still the sun disappear.

The hike wasn't too tiring at the beginning but then it began to be really incline almost 70 degree !! Anyway we made it to the top and ...... just look at those pictures.....














Oh and just before us (see below) it's the whole campus and in the far end of the pictures (after the greens) it's Salt Lake city. Great view isn't it ?

Eating at the cafeteria : The Heritage Center

Well as you all know, USA is famous for eating too much....
Here is no excpetion.
We just go to the cafeteria whenever we want... sometimes, (well probably most of the times) we just met other international students and ate together.
The problem here is that we ate the same thing almost everyday... and main courses are always bad, no taste and not well cooked.
In the first picture, we all tried to eat vegetables because it's already been one month and a half that we are here and we used to (well me at least ^^) eat either pizza or burger and french fries.
Hey, that's not my fault.... try to eat here and we'll see what you will get!

Hopefully, me and some friends get tired of the food and decided from time to time to go out and ate something really good ! Anyway it's not too difficult to out better the cafeteria ...
First week, it was a Thai restaurant.
Second week, fish and seafood restaurant.
.... but each time it costs us money.

So now we forced our floor representant to open THE kitchen (the staff kitchen ^^) every friday in order to let us cook our own healthy food once a week !

The dorm and the University of Utah

Well the first picture is the entrance of our building. Sage Point 811 !
The second picture is the way we have to take to get there.... and of course all the other dorms in our neighboor.
Third picture.... well it's just me waiting for the shuttle to come.... we are kind of lazy to walk all the way down to the other campus, so we took the shuttle. There's like 2 line of shuttle going back and forth from our dorm campus to the other side of the campus ! Really the campus is just too big >_< ! The 3 others pictures are from the Campus where we have to go for class.... really facilities here are just so nice.... I know why the tuition here is almost 5ooo to 6000 euro a semester !

First Football Game !!

My gosh it was really great! It was almost like I was in a Movie.... really >_< ! First, the number of spectators.... about 43,000 persons! Then, some guys coming down from an airplane.... like they were skydiving (don't know if it's the right word but well... just look at the picture) Finally, the enthousiasm everyone had during the game .... Unbelievable !


Then after the game, we had a tailgate party. Free drinks (Soft drinks of course! We are in Utah ^^) free hotdog, free concert and free Rockclimbing !
I never rockclimb before and seriously I was kind of scared ....why? Because I'm scared of high >_< !! Anyway, I told myself that it's now or never ....

Wonder if I went to the top? .... Well I did !! Really ! It was really difficult and tiring but I did !

Anyway it was a good experience and a great day for me !

Pictures from Yellow Stone !!

I think that even if I was scared of high, the beautiful scenery that Yellow stone provided to me made me forgot my phobia !! Believe it or not ^^ ..... well I was still scared from times to times though !

We camped there and I knew that it would be cold but not freaking freezing !! The first night I was alone with another girl while the guys was in another, and I didn't sleep at all !! It was so freezing I didn't expect it to be so cold .... I thought that I was going to freeze to death >_< !! ( I think it was like -6˚c !! While in afternoon it was 32-36˚ !!) Hopefully the second night, all the others were here so we were like 15 peoples ! I shared my tent with 3 other girls, it was a little bit tight since the tent was for only 3 persons, but seriously it was less cold... well a hell less cold !! That was the only important matter ! Next time, I'm going camping I will be prepared !! That's for sure! Definitely!
